Dinner by Candelight. The Julien Trilogy: I

Candles floating

We have been very happy to receive one of Mr. H.’s best friends, Julien, at our place for a whole week. Julien is the most Frenchest Frenchman I have met. Also, he adores cooking and is a wonderful gourmet cook. This was great for me because it meant that I got to sit back and relax while somebody else did the cooking for a few nights.

Despite the fact that these are scenes From my kitchen, I’m categorizing them under From other kitchens because I didn’t do a thing. That’s not quite right: I made the photos and did the washing up afterwards. Here are a few of the scenes of a dinner by candlelight he offered us one night.

Watch this space for the other two parts of The Julien Trilogy. However, they may not arrive in successive order…

Thank you for visiting!

The herby potatoes look good. I’ve never done them like that

I’m jealous, that food looks so good! Is that rosemary with those potatoes? I always do them with rosemary but next time I’ll make sure to add onion and, what is the other herb?
